It all started when Joanna asked her father to play an adventure game together. “Can we please, please, please play with the Treasure X — Shark’s Treasure, the new game you bought me for my birthday?”. Who could say no to those puppy eyes? Treasure X is already on the table. Dad starts to reveal the story behind the game…
“Once upon a time, in the deep blue sea, there was a hunter who was on the search for the ultimate treasure. He had heard rumors of a sunken ship that held more gold and jewels than any other in history. Determined to find it, he set out on his journey, but little did he know, the treasure was guarded by a fierce and deadly shark”. The little girl actively listens to her father. She can’t wait to rescue the hunter. Dad continuous…
“As he scoured the ocean floor, he came across the ship, but as soon as he set foot on it, the shark appeared, jaws open wide. The hunter was trapped, with no way out. That is, until now! Our goal is to rescue the hunter. How? We shall open the jaws of the shark and pull the hunter out to safety. But the adventure doesn’t end there! Once we’ve saved the hunter, it’s time to dissect the shark, and use our creativity and imagination to see what secrets it holds inside!”
“When we finally find the treasure chest, we can drop it in water and watch as it sinks to the bottom. Slowly but surely, the chest will open and our treasure will float to the top. It is in our critical thinking skills to try and collect all the treasure, as we solve this mystery.”
“So are you ready to join the hunter on his journey, and see if we have what it takes to defeat the shark and claim the ultimate treasure?” asks the dad.
The motivated girl nods in excitement. “Let’s do this!”
This is the enthusiasm and determination we want from our children in their lives! At playtime and every hour of the day.
