Morphoses

What is Morphoses and how does it work?

Morphoses is an online e-learning platform enabling learners to reach their highest potential in soft skills. Morphoses supports kids and teens (K12) in cultivating the most needed skills through fun-curated live sessions.

So far, Morphoses offers this unique advantage by partnering with companies to offer a true benefit for employees’ kids and with educational institutions such as private schools to expand their range of tutoring and offerings.

What are the Morphoses values?

As most of our learners have stated, in just three words: Morphoses is fun, engaging, and interactive. Teamwork, inquiry, inclusive, and out-of-the-box thinking are at the core of our programs, which are created by top experts in education and psychology.

What is the Morphoses mission?

Morphoses builts an online community of learners enhancing humans’ innate ability to look around -and within- with brand new eyes, constantly rediscovering the world and one’s self, at any given day and moment.

This is our mission; to provide learners with all the skills allowing them to enjoy, explore, and be a creative and active part of the future. To give everyone a strong soft skill core, enabling them to succeed in the pursuit of the best -and happiest- version of themselves and the world they live in.

Practical Information

How old should a learner be in order to enroll?

Right now, Morphoses offers classes for learners 6-17 years old.

How many learners are in a Morphoses class?

Morphoses classes are composed of 4 to 10 learners, in order to preserve a healthy amount of interaction between all members of the team.

Does Morphoses offer different types of curricula?

Morphoses offers several curricula depending on the learners’ age and the soft skills that you want them to enhance.

How does the parent know if their learner is making progress through the program?

Each Morphoses program includes two evaluation reports, with one report of each kind created per learner:

  • The mid-term report shows mainly qualitative data, describing the learner’s progress through the program, as well as their interaction with their team.

  • The final report includes a detailed quantitative analysis of the soft skill enhancement the learner has experienced throughout the whole program.

Soft Skills

Why soft skills?

Soft skills are the human skills we can all develop and are necessary to everyone.

Cultivating soft skills -especially at an age when one’s personality and habits are still shaping- can be a real game changer. Encompassing curiosity, inquisitiveness, imagination, and creativity, building agility, adaptability, resilience, and conferring the ability to face, overcome, and learn from failure are skills that we all possess by nature.

However, we let them fade away and focus our efforts on what traditional education is focused on; hard skills. Letting soft skills fade means we let go of our innate means to choose consciously and act using empathy, critical thinking, and creativity.

How can soft skills complement traditional education?

Soft skills are able to create a better future in education too, where students respect each other, show emotional intelligence and empathy, and learn to work in teams. They widen their problem-solving skills and critical thinking, resulting in shaping their identity. These skills allow learners to create new paths, that no one has ever walked before. They are the skills that make us humans.

Online

Why online?

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we experienced significant changes in our daily life: lockdowns, social distancing, school from home. It is no surprise that leaders of public and private educational institutions have been searching for alternative methods for students and teachers to continue with their lessons online.

We strongly believe that all children should effortlessly have access to quality education, no matter their location or cultural background. By taking advantage of the bright side of technology, we want to offer fun classes in a way that will bring together diverse groups of learners and instructors, joining forces to become the best versions of themselves.

Did Morphoses turn to online learning strictly due to the pandemic?

Even before the pandemic, the direction of education was pointing towards online learning, which has proved to help anyone to become more resilient against the challenges they might face. For Morphoses, “future” is a synonym for a more empathetic, open-minded world that allows the individual to constantly grow, create and fully experience life, remaining aware of both the personal state and the context they find themselves in.

What are the benefits of e-learning?

Εveryone can join! Accepting one another starts with democratization. And the call to redefine the core of education in a way that will create an environment where all people are truly welcomed, valued, and respected regardless of differences.

Morphoses platform is the practical translation of our will to expose children to as many different experiences, cultures, and personalities as possible – and for our will to make the soft skill revolution a possibility no matter where you live or are coming from.

Tutors

What are the qualities we search for in a Morphoses instructor?

All Morphoses instructors are characterized by a passion for teaching and learning and top-notch knowledge of psychology and pedagogy. They are experienced in working with groups of children and excited about the enhancement of all soft skills, as part of the lifelong learning process.

Do Morphoses instructors get trained before they take on a class?

All Morphoses’ instructors are trained and certified by us, through our official platform. The training process includes enriched educational content, as well as field training, ranging from demo classes to content creation.

What does it take to become a Morphoses instructor?

First and foremost, they need to have a passion for educating and learning. They should be familiar with soft skills, and the value they can bring to one’s life, as well as have some experience in working with groups of children.

An academic background, of any kind, is also important, as it is imperative for an instructor to bring their own knowledge and experience into their teaching, creating a customized experience for their learners.

Finally, they need to be ready to adapt and overcome any obstacles that may arise, by using a growth mindset approach.
